Gypsies in our game had a major advantage during the plague. They didn't get sick. The blood of Daenna running in their veins protected them from the super-flu. They had forewarning of the disaster from seers. A plague was coming. The world would die. It was not the Kindred, as the Tsurara had always predicted, who would bring about the destruction of the Rom. It was to be the Lupines. The Rom hid in safe, out of the way places while the plague raged and caused such chaos among the gaje. In the days before the outbreak, Ravnos and Lupine Gypsies camped side by side. Tsurara and Phuri Dae shared meals by campfires. There was a sense of true family that hadnt been seen in generations.

The years after the plague brought about unforeseen problems. The Garou went to war with each other. Other shifters went to war with the entire Garou population - blaming them all for this second impergium. The Kindred too, ventured into the woods to exterminate any Garou they could find - blaming them all for the plague. The Gypsies living in the wilderness were in the way. Entire Kumpanyi went missing. Some turned to the Vampires for protection. Others started clustering with the remnants of gaje civilization. Survival was not easy by any means, but the Rom always endure.

The kumpaniyi that resides outside New Boston formed first from a small family of Phuri Dae parking their houseboats on the shore of theCharles River. As time passed, others joined, creating a mixture of Ravnos, Banjara, Urmen and even kinder, gentler Tsurara.
